At Fiery Tees, we are deeply committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards across all areas of our business operations. We partner with suppliers and contractors who share our values, ensuring that our supply chain aligns with these principles.
We take the risks of slavery and human trafficking seriously. In compliance with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act (SB 657), Fiery Tees is dedicated to providing transparency regarding our efforts to mitigate the risks of forced labor, human trafficking, and related human rights violations within our supply chain. Below are the steps we take to ensure ethical practices throughout our operations:
1. Risk Assessment
We regularly assess risks related to slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain. Fiery Tees evaluates the risk profiles of sourcing countries using reports from reputable global organizations such as the U.S. State Department’s Trafficking in Persons Report, the International Labour Organization, and the U.S. Department of Labor. This ongoing assessment helps us identify areas where heightened scrutiny and due diligence are necessary.
2. Audits
Fiery Tees conducts both internal and third-party audits of our direct suppliers to ensure compliance with our ethical standards, which include prohibitions against slavery and human trafficking. Audits are selected based on multiple risk factors such as location, workforce size, and past performance. We use an objective scorecard system to evaluate suppliers’ audit results and determine the need for further monitoring, offering ongoing training and technical assistance to support improvements where necessary.
3. Supplier Certification
Our suppliers must adhere to all local laws regarding slavery and human trafficking, as well as the stringent requirements outlined in our Supplier Code of Conduct. This includes the prohibition of forced, bonded, or prison labor, as well as the protection of health and safety standards in the workplace. Suppliers are also required to certify that they are in compliance with these standards and legal regulations before initiating any contractual agreements.
4. Accountability Standards and Procedures
Employees and agents responsible for production, sourcing, and quality control at Fiery Tees are required to follow strict internal policies regarding supplier compliance. These policies are outlined in our Corporate Compliance Manual, which includes zero-tolerance measures for violations such as the use of child or forced labor. In cases of non-compliance, we implement corrective action plans to resolve any issues, up to and including termination of supplier relationships if necessary.
5. Training
We provide regular training for our employees and management involved in supply chain operations, with a specific focus on identifying and mitigating the risks of slavery and human trafficking. Additionally, we collaborate with global organizations, such as the International Labor Organization (ILO), to ensure our internal and external monitors are equipped with the knowledge needed to enforce our compliance standards. We also encourage our suppliers to participate in training and educational programs aimed at increasing awareness and reducing risks in their recruitment and production processes.
At Fiery Tees, we are committed to fostering a supply chain that prioritizes human dignity, safety, and legal compliance, as we continue to uphold ethical practices in every facet of our business.
